Man on Fire

Posted by mreagans in Action, drama

Man on FireUna Palabra… “I wish, you had, more time!” Ok, maybe not one word, but that line personifies this movie, or as much, the personality of a man in need of that which he craves most. Never before, at least in a long time, has Creasy been shown love. But now, his heart is set on being more than a bodyguard to Pita, it is set on dying for her. The simple transformation of his person from hopeless bodyguard, to swimming coach to savior; from hopeless to hopeful; from faithless to faithful, such transformation warrants your retinal attention.

Jerry Maguire

Posted by mreagans in Funny Stuff, suspense

Jerry MaguireFirst and Foremost. I must confess that my cousin, known as BeZo, put me onto this movie. I must give that credit where it is due. That being said, let us continue. This movie is filled with classic moments and great quotes. One could not go wrong with Jerry Maguire in their collection (the bedroom collection).

Jerry’s character can be compared to that of martin Luther; one who is disowned, ridiculed and mocked when standing up for what is good and right. Downcast by his peers simply because he chose to take the higher road in his business. Instead of greed, lust and money, Jerry chose to embrace integrity, trust and love. Ok, enough with the deep stuff. If you haven’t seen Tom Cruise scream “show me the money! I love black people,” then you are seriously lacking! Get this immediately!

G.I. Jane

Posted by mreagans in Action, drama

G.I. JaneSimply put, G.I. Jane is about a woman seeking to become the first navy seal. From day 1, the other recruits reject her and her drill sergeants take it easy on her. Throughout her battle to become a Navy Seal, she soon sees that politics reign supreme in the United States Military. My favorite character was Master Chief. What a character he is! I will not spoil his character for you, but I will give you taste of his personality through one of his many great quotes.

“The ebb and flow of the Atlantic tides, the drift of the continents, the very sun along its ecliptic, these, are just a few of the things I control in my world.”

“Torchwood Series 1″ Captain Jack Lead’s His Group into Harms Way. Where is the Doctor When You Need Him?

Posted by khryz in Television, scifi

Torchwood 1Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. It is a direct spin off of the New Doctor Who Series. It is the X-files and CSI rolled up with Doctor Who’s mentality.

The Show is great, but please keep in mind this is not Doctor Who. This is a much more adult show. For instance the Second Episode is about an alien that live off of Sexual energy and causes everyone to get rather frisky.

This is a BBC show so alot of people have not see it, or have see an edited version on the SCi-Fi channel. Trust me, the British version is much better. This is one of my favorite shows right now.

The cast is great and there Character are Wonderful. You will find that you Love and Hate each of them as it goes along. Captain Jack is the leader and he is everything a lead male should be and a little bit more then that. Trust me you will see. He is Accidentally immortal due to a mishap with Rose Tyler on the First(28th) series of Doctor Who.

If you want to see so Doctor who tie ins watch close. They are there. There is an episode about a Cyberman. This show lives primarily on its own though. Give it a chance it is great.
